The Mckinney-Vento SRO consists of 41 subsidized units located in two connected buildings in the city of North Adams, MA. A single room occupancy (SRO) unit provides living and sleeping space for the exclusive use of the occupant, but requires that the occupant share sanitary and food preparation facilities with others. Funded through HUD, the SRO (single room occupancy) is subsidized housing and follows section 8 guidelines for rent (roughly 30% of income). Additionally, based upon assessment and by request, tenants are linked to appropriate community supports and resources. To qualify for this property, individuals must meet HUD’s definition of homeless and not exceed income guidelines.
Upside413’s sole responsibility is administering the subsidies for this development.
